Service List.. HELP ME!!!

Ok, well im leaving saterday for my road trip. Right now I have about 4300 miles on my 05 4runner. Im going to bring my car in on friday to the service dept to have the 5000 mile service done on it.

Im driving to San Diego and backpacking in WY on the way. Im guessing that we will be driving about 4500 miles total.

Im trying to figure out what service I shoudl ask for. I have heard that some service centers dont do everything they are supposed to.

So... what shoudl I tell them to do? I want the car fully checked over, everything checked and serviced.

I have to have the 4wd and the dif checked because when i had my python alarm installed they disconnected the locking feature.

I wouldn't think that you would need anything done other than the oil change your going to do anyway and to re-hook up whatever the alarm guys disconnected.
Maybe have the dealer check all fluids and tire air pressure, or you could do it yourself.
Other than that you should be good.

Unless you've been playing in the dirt a lot, change the oil and go.

I don't know what the "5000 mile service" is other than a filter and oil change. I can't imagine any other filter that would need to be changed so soon.
If it were me, I would do the oil change myself and fill it with Mobil 1, if you haven't already switched.

ok then its set. But im not sure if I can change to mobill one myself, I have no tools because we just moved here and since my dads paying for this, my last parent car spensing, i think hell want it done at the dealer and i dont think they will put in mobile one will they? even if i ask? Oh and any emergency tools, chemicals, etc.. you would recomend I bring in the car with me? Thanks, Joe

You could probably buy some Mobil 1 and bring it with you to the stealers and ask them to use it.
I don't think that they would have a problem with that.
