Service/ oil change

ok so i currently have 11,230 miles on my o6 sport and i need to get my oil changed but should i bring it in to serviced the last service i had was at 5,000 miles should i get anther 5k check or go with 15k. what have you done in the past

change the oil, lube the drive shaft, and rotate the tires. Done.

Don't ever tell the dealer (or whoever) that you want the "x,000 mile service". They'll do a bunch of stuff you don't need so that they can charge you more.

As liquidvw says, just ask them specifically to do oil + filter, lube, and rotate tires. That's all you need. No BS inspections, and nothing else is due for changing. Follow your maintenance guide and you'll be fine.

buy a 20 dollar socket set.... a 10 dollar used oil pan.....7qts of your favorite oil....a quality (read: not FRAM) oil filter and a 6 pack of beer and change your own.


you'll save money in the end, feel like an accomplished owner and have something to do.

Honestly, change your own.

anyways thanks guys got all taken care of thanks ended up taking to dealer they did oil change and 5k check and it only ended up costing 35 bucks for everything
