Setting radio stations will not work.

SR5 14 I pick a radio station and it will set. The when I turn the vehicle off or radio it will default back to being blank again. Any ideas on why it would do this? I have other stations that I preset in the past. Just now having this problem.

I'm experiencing this issue as well. I just haven't had a chance to troubleshoot it thoroughly yet. I saw in a past thread where a forum member decreased the amount of presets and it fixed it for him, but this did not work for me.

My wife's 2014 SR5 has 13 FM stations preset; 5 AM stations preset. We simply position to a desired station and then depress ADD. Have yet to loose a setting.

I am taking my 2014 SR5 in this Friday and I asked about this problem and the service advisor said there is a software update.

What is funny about that? I asked her about it 4 months ago and they said that I might have to get a new radio. Why would she be lying? I am under warranty.

I understand that what your are saying. It is really not funny. I will let you know. I have a warranty so if it is not fixed then I will get a new one.

I posted about this last fall. I had the same issue, the dealer replaced the radio with a reman with out telling me, it was all scratched to shit so I flipped out. They put my old one back in to wait for a replacement and the old one works now. I would suggest trying to disconnect your battery for a few mins to reset the deck and see if that fixes it. I was told Toyota does not replace radios with new ones, so if you go the warranty route you will most likely get a reman (I confirmed this with Toyota Corporate)

actually it kind of is but I get you are on the receiving end of the joke. Assume you tried disconnecting the battery for a bit?

you probably wont get a "new" one you will get a manufactured one

Went to the dealer this morning. They updated the software. The radio stations are saving now.
