Several questions on 07 4runner

Hello, first of all, this is my first post on here. Just found this site. I was on several different Toyota sites, mainly Tacoma sites, back from 98 until about 2004. I have been a Toyota owner since 98, with a 99 4 runner now, had a 98 Prerunner, helped my Dad buy a 02 Tacoma, and a 05 4 runner. I also had a legendary 78 FJ40 at one time. I love Toyotas.

Now on to the questions. We recently decided to buy another 4 runner and keep our 99. It has been great. No need to sell it. I worked up what I think is a good price on a 07 SR5 with 24547 miles, no scratches, very clean, certified Toyota at a big dealership. It has leather, power seats, sunroof, JBL 6 disk changer, many other options. I am getting it for 22K, but then buying the flip down DVD entertainment system and having it installed at the dealership for an additional 1100 dollars. Is this a decent deal. I have been away from buying and keeping up with the prices of vehicles for several years now and have lost touch with the market. Also, how good is the DVD that Toyota sells in their accessory catalog? That is where this one is coming from MSRP of 1725.

I usually do not air out my financial stuff on the WWWEB, but am kind of desperate to make sure that I am not making a huge mistake.
Thanks.

4wd? V6 or V8? Where in GA? Metro Atlanta? It sounds a touch high but if it's super-clean maybe. I think you can do a new V6 4wd for around $26-$28k (plus TTL) with the deals out there now. Overall metro-Atlanta is pretty healthy financially so the used values are holding better than in my area so maybe my thoughts are off the mark.

The other thing is side-airbags are optional on the '07 and standard on the '08. After driving 285 for years I vote for side-airbags. If it has 4wd for $20-21k that'd be better.

It sounds like they were easy miles but that's a pretty high mileage '07.

Now if it's 4wd with side-airbags and a V8 then $22k sounds good to me.

As far as the DVD is concerned I don't know enough about that subject to even comment.

Good Luck!

Sorry, it is a 2WD, V6. It has almost every option a Limited would have. It was special ordered originally. The only few things I can find not on it are the DVD entertainment system, Navigation, 4WD, V8(which I would not want in a 4Runner size vehicle) and third row seating. It has the 8 way drivers power seat and the power passenger seat. Also has leather, which Edmunds does not list as an option on SR5. I thought this to be unusual. I looked at Edmunds and they have the MSRP retail on a certified vehicle like this with all these options at 26,5xx. Trade in was 21892. I was thinking I did ok. I think the DVD that is going to be put in is the bigger 10.4 inch flip down.

I am surprised Edmunds had the trade-in that high. If that's the case then maybe that price isn't that far off the mark. It does sound pretty loaded , almost like an XSP you see in the SE region. It sounds like you did pretty well on a fantastic vehicle!
