Shadow Mica paint :(

Need advice on cleaning up a 2008 with shadow mica paint. just bought this truck and had a detail job (shit job which Im protesting on my credit card)
So maybe it has no wax on it but it seems like a dirt-dust magnet. I washed it myself yesterday and the water+dirt doesn't run off . It seems to leave a lot of dirt behind that dries leaving spots everywhere :(
I think it needs a good wax but also I need to polish out some small scratches. Any suggestions? Mequires? ? ?

I have used wax shop safe cut for years., which is a light scratch and oxidation remover. I have used it due the fact that you can use it by hand or machine. I have always used it by hand and have great success with it. Plus not using a machine is easier on your clear coat. Then just follow up with a good wax.

The Wax Shop Safe Cut HD™ Replacement is VIP Swirl Away from Wax Depot

It also works extremely well on plastic like headlights and I polished the scratches out of my gauge cluster

Great avatar btw.

With regards to revitalizing your paint ... I've always done a hand clay, then rubbing compound then 2 coats of wax.

You will need this for use with the clay bar.

Wash then clay. Look at Youtube for the how to use the clay without damaging anything.

1 coat on then off, same day as clay

Two coats. You can do the second one a week later if need be. This tech-wax is absolutely amazing. By far the best I've used. Wear latex gloves.

Wait 4 months then do another single coat of the tech wax. Never take your car through an automatic washer (especially the touchless) since those strip away all of your wax every time.

If you want a more hardcore and expensive detailing go this route:

LC suggested this quality "safe orbital" - be careful which one you choose.
