my ARB shakes when i drive. it also kinda sags a little, about a half inch of space between it and the metal. I want to gt it more sturdy and/or get it flush with the lines of the front end. suggestions welcome.

Half the movement you see will be the body moving on the body mounts, not the arb. There's not much you can do about that. I assume you have done the obvious and tightened down all the mounting bolts. You should have at least half and inch of clearance to the body. They are designed that way to stop damage from exactly what you are seeing.

thanks for the reply techno. I know there is supposed to be some space to protect the body, but i have more than some 4runners i have seen. i think im gonna loosen it tomorrow and tighten it all back up and see if that helps.

I dont have an arb and dont know much about them or how they mount but if i recall correctly there are mods (shaving) to the frame that need to be made in order for it to mount up correctly?
I think that would be something to look into/ most likely the cause of the looseness. I know there is a thread on this somewhere I will try to pull up a link to it.

EDIT:
Just did a search and came across your own thread talking of the modifications, Feeling stupid lol
Well hope you find the culprit!

Here's how I like mine sitting. I have about .75" gap. On the trails with the suspension fully crossed up, the chassis flex and body mount flex can close the gap up by .25" to .5" sometimes. If you are curious to see just how much things can move, stick a nugget of plasticine in the gap so it's touching top and bottom, go for a drive and then you will see how much the plasticine got squished. You can then make mounting adjustments accordingly.
