Shaking on Front Right Wheel While Braking

I've noticed lately that when I brake the front right side of my 4runner shakes pretty bad to the point where it's physically moving the steering wheel in my hand. There is also a slight screeching noise when I'm breaking that obviously has something to do with it. I got my brakes (disks and pads) changed this summer so I think the damage may be worse than a warped disk. Does any one have any suggestions as to what I can do to fix this problem? Thanks

Check your brakes again, look them over, it could be the caliper is loose, either not tightened down enough or came loose (Ive had that happen, my fault as I did my brakes myself) or it could be a warped disk. (I went through a few disks when I lived in Colorado, I guess I never learned my lesson to use my gears when going over the divide on I-70)

Before you remove the wheel and Re-Check the brakes. Once it's jacked up and on stands safely. Grab the tire at 9 and 3 O'Clock and move it side to side, if there's play. Verify that it's the outer or inner tie rod, my inner tie rod was extremely loose which resulted into half an inch of side to side play.

Alright, I'll check both of those things tomorrow. I lived in Wyoming this summer and had never really drove in the mountains before so I know I worked the brakes pretty hard. I also got stuck in some mud up to my axels which could have possibly knocked something loose. If anyone else has some ideas throw them at me and I'll have a look.

The vibration from my rotors

had gotten bad enough to shake the dash when I would apply the brakes above 40 mph. Had the rotors turned today. One was really bad; brakes are now completely smooth when stopping.:biggrin2:
