Shaky shaky when you hit the gas.

I'm pretty sure my 4Runner is possessed by a demon. Iv tried banishing it, iv tried luring it out with promises of beer and loose women....hell I even tried my grandmas famous fudge and nothing. That's one stubborn demon.
Anyway I'm having a bit of trouble finding out what's wrong with my 1993 4Runner 3.0 V6. Just the other day after changing the oil the radiator fan simply disintegrated and took out the fan shroud with it and almost my right arm. After a trip to my favorite salvage yard I had a new fan and shroud which was nice and for a good price. Why the fan did that in the first place is beyond me. Never in my life have I ever seen a fan do that without something hitting it, or otherwise causing it to fail but anyway I get the fan in and now I have a new problem. While accelerating the truck shakes, seems to want to hesitate and I hear a loud metallic bang when shifting between reverse and drive (auto transmission) my first thought was motor/trans mounts. Could be?
After the fan blew up the motor was shaking like hell because what was left of the fan wasn't balanced and it took me a minute to collect myself and make sure my arm was still attached before I could run and shut the truck off.
Has anyone seen/heard of this happening before? If so or not what advise do you have and do you know a good automotive exorcist.

Glad you are ok man. Sorry about your demon problem lol. I know a few things about that. Got a 1942 Ford MB (WWII military Jeep if you didn't know) in the back yard that I'm in no hurry to rat rod out cuz of hunting/demons lol. Got to really have it cleansed before I move it.

And I would have to go with nevada and say it sounds like a misfire. Just with the bit of info you gave us.

I don't think it's a misfire. I checked the wires while I was pickin piece of the fan out of the engine compartment and they all looked fine. Also I'd imagine it wouldn't rev correctly in park or neutral which it seems to do fine. I only feel the shakes while the vehicle is motion or under load and as soon as I take my foot off the gas the shaking stops.

at idle, or no load it wont miss, but once you put a load on it, it starts to miss.

Looks around and see if the fan shrapnel took out anything else. Mine blew up about 2 months ago, taking out the air resonator (plastic box thing just off the air cleaner towards the fan), and kinked the return power steering line (metal, down under the fan). It also put dents in my hood!

It's possible that the fan put a hole in something else, or kinked a line or cut a wire.

Oh damn! That sucks.
I checked everything I could get my hands on and everything looked fine other than my fan, shroud, a couple nicks in the timing belt case and a huge bruise on the underside of my arm. I dunno what the hell but either way ill figure it out and keep everyone posted.

Ok when I got home last night I checked the wires and everything else on the ignition system and it is working fine. It's not a misfire, I checked the lines coming out if the air box and there was a small hole, I fixed it but we still have the same problem. Fortunately my neighbor was nice enough to help me out so I had him put it in gear, hold the brake and hit the gas while I checked the mounts. The trans mount moved very very little, the driver side motor mount moved very little but the passenger side mount moved a significant amount more that the others. We tried it in both reverse an drive and you can defiantly see the mount move way more than it should.
I ordered a couple brand new ones and I should have them today so once I get them on ill have an update.
