Share your EDC (Every Day Carry) items

I have a wallet. It does not have a brand name. I have keys, with a biner and a Maglight solitaire. I carry a pocket knife, which bounces between a Benchmade, a Buck, and a Gerber, depending on which one I sharpened last. I normally have a Nalgene with me or close by. That's it.

I'm with Greg, you guys with your EDC man purses are weird.

These people take EDC to a whole new level.

aha, i figured there were good reasons for you carrying these items. Was curious as to what they were.

Side note: It seems everyone carries chapstick, i cant go a day without mine. If i forget it, i stop at store and buy more.

Why carry a little bitty flashlight? If you have a cell phone there are killer apps for that. Mine has a spot, a flood, color filters, strobe and all kinds of lights. I do wear a watch though.

That Maglight Solitaire has been on my key ring since before cell phones were giant bricks that really rich people had in their limos. Or it was, Little Man got me a new one last Christmas. I'll be f*cked if it's leaving my key ring now. :)

been there... done that.

my note3 with a case is a beast to hold using the flash light app and needing both hands.

i would rather have the smaller AAA flashlight with up to 85 lumens or the lower power light in the victorinox.

Huge EDC geek. Belong to another forum just related to that. Will freely admit to having a "murse" as the gf calls it. Presently it's either a 5.11 Rush 12 backpack or 5.11 Moab 6. Prefer the Moab because it's smaller and blends in more. Probably carry way more than the average non-EDC'er but here goes;

Ruger LCP + 2 spare mags
Small FAK
iPad
Chargers for iPad & iPhone
"write in the rain" notepad
Pen
Sharpie
Leatherman wave
Fenix flashlight
Keyring full of those store discount tags
Tiny eyeglass repair kit
Lighter/cigs
Lip balm

This bag generally comes with me wherever I go but is occasionally left at home or locked in the car.

As to EDC on my body;

Wallet
S&W knife
Carabiner for car/house keys
G-Shock watch
Iphone 6 plus

Why do you prefer to carry your firearm in a bag and not on your body?

It's about 50/50, maybe more, maybe less. Depends on where I'm going, what im doing, what firearm im carrying. I won't argue that the best place for your firearm is on your hip but sometimes this simply won't work for me.

Phone, wallet, keys, sunglasses on me all the time. Most of the time either my Walther PPQ 9mm or my SOG knife.

While not technically carried on me I have a bit of an oh shit kit that permanently stored in the truck it's a Husky tote with tow strap, jumper cables, roll of blue shop paper towels, utility gloves, 12V air compressor, small first aid kit, Mountain series medical kit -weekender, 200 alcohol prep pads, Wound Seal powder, 2 Heatsheets emergency blankets, an adventure pack of hand, body, and toe warmers, Instafire all weather fire starter fuel source, storm proof matches a rain Poncho, 6x8 medium duty tarp, Rescue Tape, Gorilla Tape, Gerber folding hand saw, automotive fuses, razor utility knife, pocket knife, tire plug kit, needle nose pliers, side cutters, multi bit screwdriver, channel locks, standard and metric allen keys, 24" pry bar, 51 piece socket/ratchet set, hammer, ratchet straps, flashlight, 12v plug in search/spot light, bungees, garbage bags, and zip lock bags.

sigbrown1297 I like the setup. How are you liking the Lone Wolf frame? I was really interested it a few years back and then the Gen 4 came out and it fit my hand better so I moved to it. Now that the G19/23 size frame is out, I am curious again. IS the complete unit simply plug and play for a complete slide assembly?
