Share your EDC (Every Day Carry) items

I thought it would interesting and informative to see what other folks carry on their person on a regular basis. People have different perspectives, lifestyles, reside in areas with different laws, etc. so I imagine their will be a variety. While equipment is far less important when it comes to personal safety as compared to mindset, tactics, and skill for example, we can still make choices that enhance those elements versus diminish them. I'm sure all of us have a certain amount of tools in our T4R's but for the sake of this particular thread, I was thinking personal EDC items only. Here is my current setup. I cannot always have all of these items, but on an average day here it is.

Counterclockwise:

• Wallet (Bosca)
• Keys w/ Survival Pod Key Fob by Bison Designs
• Two Spyderco Delica folding knives w/non-serrated edges
• SureFire E2D LED Defender 200 lumen flashlight
• MK III pepper spray by Defense Technology
• Glock 19 9mm pistol w/ Raven Concealment IWB kydex holster
• Spare Glock 19 magazine w/ custom kydex pouch
• Not pictured, iPhone 6

All i carry is a wallet cell phone, chapstick, buck folding pocket knife, my keys and a s&w m&p 40 compact at the 4 o clock position

How do you like the compact M&P? I have a full size 9mm. I milled the back beavertail grip tang down to Glock specs. It has the an overall size between the Glock 17 and 19 but still has 17 rd capacity. Nice guns.

I love it, it fits my hands perfectly. Been carrying it about 6years.

One thing I almost always have is a bandanna folded in my my left back pocket.

It's like hanky but more badass.

You'd be surprised how handy my man hanky is.

You'd be amazed at how much I use them for stuff other than my nails! They come in handy for sure!

Nothing wrong with that as an everyday, "EDC hanky"... but I prefer a "tactical hanky." It's made of lightweight material that is rip-stop, fast drying, and will still be capable of wiping snot from my nose in extreme temperatures. It was actually tested by Navy SEALS on the surface of one of Jupiter's moons. It comes in any color desirable. I got mine in multi-cam, because while not any more effective than traditional types of camo patterns, it's newer, more in demand, and is guaranteed to make any item adorned with it over-priced.

I utilize a specialized kydex sheath from which to "deploy" the hanky, because when you're "running" a tactical hanky, you should be able to present it as quickly as possible. This allows the "operator" of the hanky to maximize his (or her) effectiveness at close ranges.

It's weird, but every time I start talking about it or using any of the newly-minted-by-corporate-America tacticool phrases like those above, my tactical hanky has the odd ability to repel women of any age group or social strata It does arouse me, however.



All sarcasm and in good fun, of course (except the part about SEALs on Jupiter - that really happened).

But seriously, some of you guys are carrying a LOT of s$it around on a daily basis.

Wallet, phone, chapstick, keys. I'm always trying to cut down on what's in the wallet, and what keys I have to carry. Some of you guys must live in cargo pants or something!

How and why you guys carry all that other crap is beyond me.

Another advantage of my plain cotton man hanky in the pocket is it keeps my Milwaukee Fastback securely to the outer left side of the back pocket instead of sliding towards my ass.

AHA, I figured there were good reasons for you carrying these items. Was curious as to what they were.

side note: it seems everyone carries chapstick, I cant go a day without mine. IF I forget it, I stop at store and buy more.
