How many Toyotas have you owned, what are you driving now? I thought it would be cool to see what other Toyotas people are interested in or have had in the past :artist:
Here's what I got:
My dad, as well as my mom, have always been avid Toyota owners, and they have kept their vehicles for a long time. At most times, my parents had at least 3 Toyotas in the drive way and here is what they were:
The first new Toyota my parents bought was a 1985 Tercel 4WD wagon, Bright Orange. Kept it until about only 80k, then it unfortunately caught on fire in my baby sitter's driveway when I was 4. This was the only Toyota my parents have owned to this day to ever give us a problem.
Next came a 1992 Corolla All Trac Wagon. My parents sold it to friends in New York State about ten years ago, and after hitting numerous deer and surviving more than 20 winters, is still running to this day.
Next came another 1993 All Trac, the Previa S/C. I guess it was an impulse buy because they sold it within 6 months of owning it. (I was an only child and they figured it was too much car for a 3 person family)
After that, my dad bought a 1995 Toyota Truck. The Tacoma name wouldn't appear until a couple years later.
Next came a 1996 4Runner 4WD SR5. Lavender Steel, apparently was a rare color. Sad we sold it, no electronic nannies (i.e, my current 2002) :bash:
My dad started getting into trucks more, so he bought a 2000 Tacoma Access Cab with the TRD package (and rear locker :biggrin2: ) I convinced him to get it somehow, and he was pretty pissed when he figured out the TRD package had a clock delete haha. That always confused me - why make a clock an option and not standard?
Next Toyota my parents purchased was a 2002 4Runner Limited. That's what I currently drive (along with my RDX). Rock solid. 119k on the clock and still going strong.
Our newest Toyota is a 2008 Tacoma Access Cab with the Special Offroad Package (black Baja style wheels, unique graphics, black fender flares with extended mudflaps, rear differential lock, unique rubber floor mats)
Today the cars in the garage are not as Toyota biased, but they still make a good appearance:
2002 4Runner Limited 4WD - mine
2007 Acura RDX - mine
2008 Tacoma TRD Offroad - dad's
2007 Lexus LS460 - dad's
2008 Acura MDX - mom's
2001 Aston Martin DB7 - dad's (he has made this very clear - he said if I ever even pick up the keys to that car, I'll be spending my nights thereafter outside on the deck)
Our two other cars are located in other places that we usually vacation to (2003 Yukon Denali is at our mountain house in WV, and we have a BMW X3 in Kiawah Island, SC)
