Here are some pictures of where i'm at right now. i'll add a list of mods when i get around to it since i'm lazy, in case anyone is curious or has questions about what i've done, like i had when i did a lot of this.
been thinking about selling it for an old fj40 recently....more suited to the offroad parks around missouri at this point, but i'm always hopeful I'll find a new job near the rockies sometime soon and it will be more enjoyable for exploration and camping trips....decisions...it's like my baby.

yea i am looking for a second car for a daily driver but i was going for better gas mileage so i don't think the FJ40 will suffice for that...so its either the 4runner or the FJ. pretty tough to get rid of the 4runner- it can do everything well...just shouldn't have gotten such a shiny one maybe. i feel really bad when i hit trees on accident.

here's one from a trip down to arkansas. its beautiful down there but the trees sure love to give you hugs. the homemade roof rack is on top...took me like 8 years to build and i've only put a few logs up there, twice.

That 80 is sweet indeed, but your ride is nothing to glance over either! Looking good.

I made the bumper. its good to hear someone else likes it. its not as clean and refined as a cbi or shrockworks (partly because it's not pc'd like most of those) but it works..so far. not sure if how long it took me was worth the 400-500 bucks i saved or not.....but it's cool to say you made something on your own.

ideally i would have liked to have a shop shear and bend most of it and just weld it together but i decided that's pretty hard to do a one-off of, so i just pieced it together. i wouldn't say it's "perfectly" symmetrical.
definitely developed an appreciation for the real fabricators, but i'm always a diy'er whenever possible- even though every diy project takes me forever. :roadkill:
