I’m super happy with my new Sherpa Crestone roof rack… and appropriate with Crestone Peak and Crestone Needle just a few miles from the house.

Sherpa did a great job designing an easy to install rack. I had no issue installing it by myself in a few hours. Even with the storage case there is almost no perceptible wind noise at speed.

I ordered the Roam case mounts and modified them to fit the lower profile 23 Zero case. Great quality all the way around and fast shipping... highly recommend Sherpa for a great product.

I have your crestone roof rack and love it. I recommend it to everyone. I'm short though, and would like a ladder to be able to reach up there. I like the design of the Westcott ladder but see a lot of quality issues. Are you all planning to make a ladder for us? please say yes lol

We are not planning to make a ladder, that said we have had great experiences with the C4 Fabrication Ladder and even offer it on our website.

Yeah, I've seen the recent rusting/corrosion issues with the C4 ladder. It just doesn't seem up to the same level as your rack. sorry.

Fair enough, we have not had any issues with our customers we have sold the C4 Ladders too, I know before we took the product on they did a redesign of the ladder to solve some issues with V1 and I remember them mentioning something about a rust issue.

Our personal experience with the product has been great. We have had two employee trucks running them for about a year with no issues noted from them.

We also have had customers of ours run the Gobi ladder and say it works well with our rack system if that is another route you want to go. That said, no experience with the Gobi Ladders.

thanks for the real response. maybe it was just a bad run of ladders/powder coat. I'll check out some people's ladders locally to see how their ladders are holding up under local conditions and go from there.

I ordered the crestone sport from R4T about 4 weeks ago and feeling like a kid waiting on Christmas Day. I’ve personally have two friends with your standard crestone and they are in great shape and amazing quality. I feel like you guys would fabricate a much better ladder than the C4. Not to put them down but they are definitely not up to Sherpa standards.

If you want a well-built aluminum ladder (no rust!) to go w your Crestone check out the Greenlane Off-road ladder. Their stuff is exceptional quality.

No October Sale, but our biggest sale of the year is creeping up which is Black Friday. November 1st-15th.

Stoked you are getting your hands on our Sport Rack! A ladder is not really on our radar at the moment, but who knows, maybe we will get a wild hair and start playing with making them.

BD S8 but i dont have a picture without all my junk mounted up top. The design of the brackets and fairing significantly reduce light reflected off of the hood.

Install was easily done by myself in an afternoon, even allowing for the fact that I did the stupid thing and had one of the brackets inside the headliner fall off when removing the old rack. I even knew to watch for that but whatever.

The rack looks great, very sturdy. Fit is great and the wind noise really is minimal, so that's a huge win for y'all. When I need to go to the office it's 45 mins on the freeway at 75-80 and there are no whistles, moans or any other unexpected bad behaviors in the wind.

Need to find another day to plan my accessory mount locations, still waiting for a part from another vendor before I can do that.

You sure did. Some idiot (me) had a gas can break free when I had them strapped to the old TRD Pro rack (pre-Sherpa) and dent the C pillar.

Just want to shout out Sherpa (especially Cortez) for their excellent service and support. This past 4th of July week, I was out wheeling with a couple buddies in Colorado. I unfortunately sheared both front adjustable feet (one in Flagstaff and the other going up Red Cone). We tried jerry rigging supports to minimize movement of the rack and RTT but I didn't feel comfortable continuing to wheel as I was worried that the excessive movement was causing additional stress in the other brackets. Luckily, we were able to complete Red Cone and camped about 2hrs from Denver, so I shot over an email and Christian said to stop on by the following day. For everyone's awareness, I have an older design rack that was purchased back in 2020. Long story short, upon inspection Cortez suggested replacing the whole rack due to the older design (front adjustable feet and side rails close to roof) and because the rear brackets had cracked as well. I guess it was perfect timing for the failure, but again I appreciate Sherpa's support and the new rack lol
