She's stuck.. help?

I am currently in the process of swapping the front diffs on my runners. I have the diff out of my '98 and am trying to get the diff out of my '00. I got the passenger side CV out of the diff but the driver side won't budge. I have been going at it for hours to no avail. This is probably the 6th time I have removed CVs but it has never given me this much trouble.

Any tips or tricks would be appreciated.

The snap ring might be jammed in there. just try and get a pry bar in there and keep wrenching on it and make sure you keep rotating the axle shaft and maybe it will loosen. also try prying out and then push it back in a few times. maybe the ring will seat. good luck

That's what I was doing for hours. I might try picking up a larger pry bar today. You may be right about the ring being stuck..

sometimes you need to spin the cv in the diff about 180º i hav had them stick and after moving it around it pops right out. Make sure you pop it back in fully before trying again that way if the c clip is jammed it may have a chance to go baack
