Shock Absorber Options

Hey guys so I am looking for new rear shocks for my 3rd gen because mine are shot. I went on to the popular sites like Toytec and the name brand shocks they offer are just not in my budget right now. Since I have a 3" lift I need extended shocks and I found some affordable shocks by AC Delco for a Toyota Landcruiser. So my question is, the Landcruiser's rear shocks appear similar to the 4runner's. Does anyone know if its a direct fit? Thanks

I have Monroe 80 series Land Cruiser shocks on mine with around 3" of lift (OME 891s). They control the rebound just like they're supposed to.

I'm not sure if the Tokico's would work on a 3" in lift though, I think they would not have enough travel.

Do you think they would "top-out" (rather than bottom-out)? I haven't installed them yet, but I think several other guys have. I have 8 wrap LC springs to go with them so I should have more than 3" lift in the rear.

Yeah, from my research, the lc tokico blacks are like $100 for a pair and should be perfect for your height.

I went ahead and the blue Monroe shocks. They were a great price and the ride is firm and stable. Lets see how they hold out!:drummer:
