so im going with the ome 881/906 lift relatively soon. but i can't decide on which shocks to go with and ive done a lot of research. first of all, the lift is going on a 97 2wd 4runner (i know its not 4wd). this is 99% onroad with the occasional dirt road if we go camping or something. so not offroading really for me. looking for a good onroad capable shock. the wife and kids are mainly going to be in the 4runner so its gotta ride good. don't have a ton of money to spend so i can't go crazy. the ome shocks i see are expensive so not looking to spend that much and since why go ome shocks when i don't really offroad? other brands i see are bilstein, trekmaster, tokico, rancho. bilstein seems to much too. anyhelp would be helpful for me and if anybody is running what im looking for then let me know. thanks, sorry for the long post but dang i need some answers. later. also model #'s of shocks would help too

I went with Bilstein 4600 series, in fact. I just ordered mine today for $290 out the door.

I had driven my mechanic's Benz and it has Bilisten in it. Also, his brother's discovery had Bilisten's in it also. They both rode very nice and the discovery had a lift in it too. Honestly, you can't go wrong with the Bilisten's.

I got the adjustable Bilstein 5100 series...hoping delivery by the middle of next week. Heard very good reviews on them and they are always in backorder for the high demand.

He must be a very busy mechanic to drive a benz.....I have a buddy that owns his own business and drives a pimped out escalade, I always joke with him about his customers complaining that he charges them too much for his services.....

I also have Bilsteins on my 97 sr5, had them on a 94 corvette along with my 02 z71 suburban....I'm sold on them....tried finding them for my wifes camry but they don't make them for it....you'll be happy with them....

Btw, shox.com has them for 279 shipped...
