Shoot,did I make a dummy move? Wheel spacers

So I bought some wheel spacers off a guy on Craigslist. They are made by all pro. I got back and jumped on their site and after looking at them they are for the older models and are lug centric, but not hub centric. I honestly didn't know this would be an issue.

Will these work and work safely? Or should I put them on Craigslist and go back to the drawing board. At this point I'm about ready to just buy some wheels. I have the stock 3 spoke 16" wheels and the truck is a 97. I just got the OME lift on and am about to jump on some 285 75 16's but need to get the wheel thing sorted out first. My 265's are close enough to the uca that I can't imagine a 285 not dragging on them when wheeling.

you definitely want the hub centric ones if you are running oem wheels. I would get the tires, see if they rub, if they do save up to get wheel spacers, buy only the front first if you have to.

Suspicion confirmed. Ok, back to the drawing board lol. I was planning on tackling a fairly rough trail this weekend, so I may have to roll on the 265's for another week. It just looks so silly with the little tires on it lol. Thank you D Farms.

you can still run them, they will just vibrate and not mount well.

Ok, may do it temporarily. Lifting and wheeling these trucks sure is a lot more complicated than the older generation Toyotas, I'm not complaining because this truck is sweet. It sure is requiring a lot more thought though lol.

yeah, I do miss just running 33x10.5 r15 on a stock ifs 86-95 but they they also didn't have e lockers or much power. That 3.0 was a terrible engine for the most part. Some had luck but a lot didn't, I didn't. The 22re was reliable as hell but you had to plan your day out around the horsepower, or lack there of. I still love the old ones but I feel the coil suspension in the newer trucks is far superior to the old torsion bar suspension, it just needs more thought put into the tire and wheel sizing etc.

Actually a buddy of mine just got some 34x10.5r17s and they fit his 5th gen without modification. the skinny tires will fit, its just the 16 rims usually are metric only and they dont make a lot of skinny tires for them.

Don't use the lug centric spacers temporarily. Just get the right thing before you put the new tires on. You don't want the weight of your truck being carried the wrong way. Re-list the ones you bought, and just pony up for the right ones. There are things you shouldn't cheap out on, and the way your wheel attached to our truck is one of them.

Well looks like the stars are working in my favor, Toytec is having their customer appreciation day tomorrow and I'll be able to get the Spidertrax wheel spacers for 10% off! Just do it right, I agree with all of you.
