Shoots Build Thread.

Well this is coming along nicely. 3/8" fittings for some nice airflow for an impact.

I got the rest of the parts connected and the tank installed. My arb twin loads up to 150 psi until it kicks off. That's quite a bit. I may look into adjusting its on and off pressure. But it sure is nice to have a tank and 3/8" 25' air hose with a good supply of air for an impact.

So after i installed the 2.0 i thought its about time to open up the exhaust, Starting with a Borla Pro Xs muffler. This muffler is their largest muffler which keeps exhaust noise down while having a straight through design letting it flow better.

Soon down the road i plan on headers and maybe cat delete. :flypig:
I paid $102 shipped.

That's the one I have and I love it. The rear cargo area has terrible sound proofing though, so if it's too loud inside you might want to sound proof the bottom and the wheel wells. It's not hard. Once I did that I get to enjoy the sound only if I want to, windows up and it's fairly quiet.

How's the 2.0" working for you? Thought about it, but worried about toasting the supercharger bearings so only did the 2.1".

Ive already sound deadened the ENTIRE interior. its so quiet now (besides the SC wine.)

the 2.0 is pretty good. i rebuilt the SC this summer so im not worried about the internals. it sure does haul ass with the 2.0.

I got the Borla Pro XS muffler installed. Part number 40665. 2.5" center in offset out.

everything welded up fine, (shitty welder) truck sounds great and it sure does let the supercharger breath better.

the noise is perfect! its not loud, neither is there any drone. Its wonderfully quiet for a older person who does not want to hear the exhaust the entire time. only when you accelerate you can her it. When you cruise its just like stock.

I wanted to go with the largest muffler from borla to keep it quiet because its straight through design and i plan on removing cats later and i know it would make the exhaust louder.

Once you remove the cats the muffler wont really muffle if its a straight through design. When I had a straight through muffer the removal of cat made it louder than when swapping out the muffler. It was so loud I installed highflow cat just to tame it down.

Good to know. That's far enough down the road it not a big deal ATM. But good info.

I'm really happy with the flow of the muffler and how it lets the truck breath. Debating on not doing anything else to the exhaust. (Maybe headers) we will see.

Well how about an uppidy date from old fat pat.

So it’s Dec 2022, married, 4 kids, living in KCMO, sold the 4runner. Upgraded to a blacked out platinum sequoia for the wife and kids, I drive a blacked out tundra.

Sold the body lift business to SRQ FAB. Matt is a great guy.

It’s been about a year since I’ve been on the page.

That's crazy!! I had no idea! I bought a 1" body lift from you in 2016 then. I still have it on my rig. Phenomenal product. Better late than never, but thank you for making an excellent product. Small world!

It's good to hear from some of the people that have been on here forever. I'm glad it sounds like you're doing well, but it also sounds like you need another 4runner!
