I am not a do it yourself gal So i went to a local 4x4 shop

.

after researching I decided on the cornfed 3/2 lift with 285/70/17 set up...

2004 sport w xreas 4x4

:moping:Shop owner tells me -- I wouldnt put this lift on your 4runner

WHY i asked?? he said 2.5 is the max the ball joint can handle without safety being an issue

I have not done any reading on this being an issue with anyone??

Is this accurate? Is it a bad choice for the cornfed

I have read tons of great responses on this set up so im confused...

I'm not technical and can't explain why, but 3" has always been the limit from my research. Some have went slightly over with no issues. I think you are fine with that setup, plenty of folks run 3" front with no issues.

thanks... ive seen many many post and people using this same set up.. but shop owner made is sound like i would be doing damage to my 4runner if i went with the 3/2
