Shop Recommendation in Denver?

Can any of you recommend a good shop in Denver?

I've always liked to build a good relationship with a top shop...any recs would be appreciated!

might help to throw out what kind of work you are looking for. There are probably a lot of good quality repair shops that won't know or want to know the first thing about welding sliders on your truck, and there are probably fab shops out there that won't be able to plug a scan tool in and tell you what your CEL is on for. might be a few that can do it all, but probably be more options if you give a little more detail of what you are looking for.

Hmmm, ok. No welding or body work, just a solid group of techs who do things right (mechanical, electrical in all dimensions). The basics, plus expertise in "minor" performance mods...nothing crazy.
 
Good Shop

TOY CAR Care is one of the best Toyota shops I've ever dealt with. Good bunch of techs and they really know their stuff.

They did my starter and a few other things for me. They're fairly priced and everyone I've talked to about them feels like they had a good experience.
 
Just putting it out there, I just called Toy Car Care inquiring about a CV Boot replacement for both axles. They want $230 per axle just for labor. That's pretty steep, no?
 
The previous owner of the 4Runner I just bought had everything done at Toy Car Care. Planning on checking them out shortly. I read really good reviews on Tapp's Garage online.

That seems a little high. Book time per axle per side is 1.5 hours.
 
Ask for a lower price. I do and it often works. I'm not in Denver so I have no experiance with Toy Car Care.

If you have a lower estimate from another shop and admit you will pay a premium for premium service, they may be able to meet in the middle of the two estimates. If they take 20% off you'll be down to $368 for labor.
 
On the same note, what about body work? I have a few door dings that I would like to try to get repair with paintless repair methods as well as a few marks on my hood. Tried the dry ice heat gun method but failed. Never had any body work ever done on any of my vehicles but I just have a few spots from the previous owner that are driving me nuts.
 
Affordable Toyota and Lexus Repair

Affordable Toyota and Lexus Repair does excellent work. He is a small shop in an industrial park, but don't let the appearance fool you. He really knows 3rd Gen 4Runners (has several himself). I think he is a member/sponsor of the local Toyota off road club (Rising Sun) and every review you find is 5 star (google reviews) and the members of Rising Sun have great things to say.

He replaced my timing belt and water pump for $400 less than anyone else in town. His work is solid and prices very fair. He will be doing my front bumper and lift install this summer.

His customer service is above and beyond. When there was an issue with a rental car, he closed his shop (it was just him at the time) to give me a ride home (not a short trip in Denver rush hour traffic). He is going to do the lift on my 4Runner and will let me test drive his and his wife's 4Runners to see which lift I like best.
 
Oh, and I wanted to add that the guy I spoke with at Toy Car Care didn't even want to touch my 4Runner because I have a 3" lift. He said I should just take it to a 4x4 specialty shop. Again, with their quote for replacing boots and that line, I'd go elsewhere. It said a lot about their shop without having to say much at all.
 
PM me if you need good body shop in Denver. it`s located leedsdale and monaco, I know the owner, they fixed and painted 3 cars - 2 hail damaged one rearended hard and painted my motorcycle bodywork. all jobs was done in time and quality was outstanding, prices very reasonable too.

about 2000 for the whole car, it was before my 4runner days, somehow even sides (fenders, doors got damaged, every singe surface was repaired, car looks new after that and believe me, I`m picky. another shop wanted twice as much for the same job. insuranse wanted paintless repair but dents was way to big for that. paintless repair coud be awesome solution if dents not too big. :biggrin2: insuranse finally sent me a check for 4500. i made 2500 on hail damage to my car. it was VW I sold later, hail damage never found it`s way to carfax despite insurance paid for repairs.clean carfax report means nothing, just another money collecting enterprise.
