should I be worried?

I have noticed sometimes when I first put it into drive and give it gas, it revs up and then drops into gear. It has only done this a few times in the last week or so, but it makes me now think it is transmission and not rear axle

What would cause it to not go into drive right away when cold(cold engine not temp, 75 degrees outside) and then bind?

I think mine is suffering from gear oil on brakes aswell just not as severe, mine will feel like binding while trying to turn periodically, and i recently extended the breather because it was clogged and i had leakage. what would be the best way to clean the gear oil when changing the seal? Thanks Lee.
