should I buy warranty?

I am about to purchase a 2004 4Runner Limited, with close to 100,000miles.
Was offered to buy a 3 year bumper to bumper warranty from Toyota, for $2,000. Should I buy this warranty?

I am of the understanding that an actual Toyota warranty has to be purchased from the dealer at the time of the sale ON A USED CAR. You can purchase a warranty on a new Toyota after the fact from any source (inc. the dealers on the internet) within the first 36,000 miles. (Someone can correct me if I am wrong on this).

The 4th generation has so many electrical operations (ABS, ESC, etc.) that I would buy it. If it has X-REAS suspension - buy it-that's a no brainer.

The price on the warranty sounds high - see if you can get them to come down.

Buy it , but definitely negotiate on the price. You definitely have some leverage when buying the warranty.

I have the platinum and it just paid for a $2400 replacement of the hydraulic booster pump. I'm fairly certain it will be paying for frozen calipers as well.

Rook, what part is that? Is that the box where the hydraulic fluid is for the X-REAS?
