should i buy?

Hi i am new to these forums but not to forums in genral my question is about a 1995 4runner auto 4x4 limited. It is in great shape brand new bfg offroads leathers perfect and all but it needs a new motor. the guy has the v6 sitting in his garage for it out of the same year model and everything. my problem is should i buy it and risk the other motor being messed up or running into problems? he wants 1500 for it with the motor and to have the motor put in saying everything is really there and the motors good will cost around 1300. any help would be great.

see if you can buy it for cheap without the spare motor then get a 3.4L from a junk yard and drop that in there instead.

I would say that if the body is in good shape with no rust...then it is a good deal.

I agree. I wouldn't spend too much money on a "questionable" 3.0 when you can have a not-as-questionable 3.4 from a wrecked vehicle for the same if not less. It's just a bit more work to get the 3.4 wired and plumbed in.
