Should I get the Carmax Warranty

I posted this in the 3rd Gen. folder, but then later found this folder as I'm new to the site. I'm about to buy a 97 SR5 with 52K miles. Carmax offers a 36K/36 month warranty for $1400 - I was wondering what your thoughts were or if people found this warranty good to have. I'm not very mechanical-inclinded, so not sure if it covers the things that really break -- thanks for any help to a soon-to-be newbie....
