Should I keep my Headlight covers??

Hey all, I've been toying with the idea of taking off my headlight covers, and possibly doing the 99 - 02 upgrade. So far, I've priced out the Stealership, and an aftermarket supply store, but both want big money to replace with upgraded housings. I'm thinking of buying some recycled ones from the junk yard, but want your opinions 1st.

SO! BE HONEST........Do you guys think I should just keep my headlight covers, or upgrade my lights???

that second picture was like a breath of fresh air from the first, and the 02 lenses only look better!

Sorry, but yeah, go for the 99-02s, you wont regret it!

99 headlights oem though ! 99-02 clear corners and clear bumper lights will make it look brand new

Depo brand 99-02 headlights. They will have the same beam pattern as the Toyota ones.

Better yet, forget about the brand, do a retrofit and it won't even matter!

Take this the best way possible cause I dig your ride. Ditch the covers! Factory looks better and clear will only look even better. Think simple when you think 4runner. Clean mods = clean ride.

For sure, upgrade!! I've never seen your runner look so niiiiiice as in the 2nd shot! honestly, it makes the TRD logo on the grille stand out and that looks friggin sweet too.

Definitely get rid of the covers and upgrade to 99-02 lights! Your truck looks great in the 2nd pic!

Personally, I'd say to stick with OEM lights unless you are retrofitting. Long story short, I ended up with Eagle Eyes brand lights and they absolutely sucked!!! Wasted so much money on those! IMO paying the extra $ for OEM is well worth it...after all you do get what you pay for.

Guess I'm in the minority here but I like your truck both ways. One thing I can say for sure is that I could tell your runner from everybody elses. Who wants to be like everybody else anyway?

when you complete the upgrade you will be so glad you did! You have a nice rig, you won't even miss the headlight covers and you will be able to see where you are going at night!!!!!

I wanted to add something similar . I had to replace a light assembly and chose a after market unit and I would not do that again . It never fit quite right and still pisses me off . Spend the extra and buy Toyota 99+ lights .

Thanks for the compliments, but really starting to like the lights without the covers! The TRD logo....E-Bay....about $10.00 shipped to Canada!
