Should I pull my Xreas .....

Falls

and use my new FJ springs and shocks . I would guess they would have more travel maybe and be built for off road a bit better with the internal valving .

All the FJ stuff in brand new .

My Xreas has 65K on it now and down the road I may want to put better shocks and springs on or OME , but except for the nose hanging low it rides well and they are not in bad cond.

Thoughts ?

Also will a PRELOAD SPACER double the lift like topout does ??

The spacer won't matter, top or preload in terms of static lift.

Why don't you post a poll? One that says something like "Do you/would you regret removing XREAS?"
1) I Don't miss it
2) Wish I still had it
3) I wouldn't take it off for anything
4) I would take it off

Then you can get opinions from those who have done it and those who have been thinking about it.

I'll vote:D:nerd:

Yes I could do that .... Just have to do it and not look back. I' ready to go with doing the lift , have to rent a couple tools and ready to go. That was my plan today , but now called into work tonight . Don't think I want to try to rush through in 6 hours before I have to leave.

Chris I would also put in the bushings like you did . I really can't image it handling worse than stock with Xreas plus it will be much simpler to work on . My truck nose dives and rolls pretty well now with Xreas.

I also have never heard many people at all with SR5's or Limited's say they wish they had it or really very few complaints about body roll without it.

I pulled my XREAS out when I installed my ToyTec Lift and don't miss it at all and I had less than 20K on the XREAS... I removed everything!! All the plumbing and I only have a few plastic clips I missed still on the truck. Just haven't taken the time to remove the clips. So I would vote for pull it since any work done to repair the XREAS will cost an arm and a leg anyways.

:dancin:For whatever reason, for the 1st time in my T4R, I have been in a sprirted driving mood for the last 2-3days. (This happens to me once every 5 years or so:D I am probably done for another 5 years...)

I have some well known, curvy roads with adequate visibilty and have run them pretty aggressively to include aggressive acceleration & braking. I continue to be blown away with how good mine handles, how little it dives etc. Live axle SUV's are not known for handling good but mine is truly amazing considering the design of the vehicle. It has almost none of the funky rear end behaviour that's common in the breed. FWIW I've done a couple of schools at Road Atlanta, been a gearhead since my 1st minibike at 4yrs old etc. I am not a pro driver, a great driver, emergency responder driver or race driver but I do have a clue.

Your's should handle about the same as mine. I figure I may have a slight advantage with my 65 profile tires, you have a fatter rear swaybar. My guess is that would make it a "wash" if you were comparing the two side-by-side. I don't think there's enough difference in engine weight to have a huge effect on sweepers. Running a "cone slalom" every pound would matter but in normal driving, IMHO, the engine weight shouldn't matter much.
