Should I rebuild stock carby or buy weber

I have 1993 4runner 22r engine. My carby is stuffed, choke is broken, solaniod broken and leaking air. Thinking of either buying 38/38 weber or buying repair kit for stock carby. I have a snorkel kit on and that bumped up the power a fair bit but I wouldn't mind a little more hoping the 38 + snorkel is a good combination. I mostly use it for camping so its carrying a fair bit extra weight. Want to know what people think and if they like the stock or weber better can you pls say why.

Also need to consider how to get the from the snokel which is on the left side to the carby on the right side. Don't want to buy a hat

Rebuild.
Just make sure you get a good kit and make sure it covers your exact carb, not a generic kit.
The p/n for your carb is on a small metal tag held on by a screw on the top front of the carb, under the air cleaner. The instructions that come with the kits suck, so find and download the 22R carb faq available on the net. An FSM is also very very helpful.

Yup rebuild the stocker. I had a weber on my FJ40, it was junk.

Finally got a stock Aisin back on the 40 and the difference was night and day.
