Hard to tell how big and strong they are from the pics... I always prefer to use d-rings instead of hooks when possible. Straps can't fall off between tugs that way.

I never tug ever, i have a bungie strap and winch.
they are OEM from my 1994 chevy K5 Blazer so i think they are rated for a higher weight class, i just thought the might look good for my bumper.

Kinda like tusks, you know walress and puma like........(lets see who gets that joke)lol

I say use them. I had a 92 Blazer for several years and, even though I rarely got stuck (cause that thing was a beast), I abused those hooks and know they are tough.

i see what you mean i was going to mount them vertical like hook end up.

Just for looks i think they would look cool. but if they are not going to be used i may not use them.

i was just looking through all my junk and found them so figured if there was a use for them i would go ahead and use them.

They don't look as beefy as Toyota hooks but they look better than most of the junk I see hanging off of Jeeps. I say go for it.

I think there is a write up on TTORA about GMT-400/GM K/V truck front hooks as a cheap mod for stronger front hooks for 1st gen tacos.
