Should my "4WD HI - 4WD LO" Switch be lit?

Hey guys, quick question here:

I have a 2006 Sport V8, my friend has a 2007 Sport V8, his switch for 4WD HI to 4WD LO on the dash lights up yellow with all the other lights whereas mine does not. I'm wondering if this is a little feature they added in 2007 or is my bulb just burned out or something?

Yep. The "4hi", and "4lo" should all be lit as well as the indicator line on the selector knob. I'm guessing it's just a bulb; hopefully not an LED.

Does this also apply to 2003 year model also? I'm offshore right now but I don't remember it ever having been lit up.

I vaguely remember replaving one of mine. It started with a bolt behind the ashtray... Hopefully someone else can chime in that's had to deal with this more recently than I.

My 4HI-4LO switch is back lit (along with radio, heat and a/c controls, etc) in my 03 Limited.
