Okay, guys...put your shirts back on, that's not what I meant

Let't fill this thread with everyone's roof racks! There's so many different kinds on here, it's hard to keep track, so post 'em! Also tell us what kinda rack it is, where you got it, how much you paid and if it's direct fit or bolts onto the factory crossbars.

I'll start:

Coleman Safari Rack. Got it for $75 shipped from Costco.com (discontinued now). Universal mount to the factory crossbars. Added the 'zip-net' (normally used for pickup beds) to keep the cargo down. Also added the 'Rocky Mounts' bike rack.

(side note: that pic realy shows the color difference between factory and aftermarket tint...it usually blends much better...)

ORU Defender Rack intended for a tahoe(so its longer). More HERE. It was about $450 from 4-Wheel Parts(local store).

not a fan of the Yakima rack and i'm from washington (home of the real Yakima)
it's pretty So Gay

i prefer the real safari racks like a surco style one (real safari racks have high sides to load more stuff and keep gas canisters from tipping out)

I saw a 4runner driving around Raleigh with Christmas lights on the top. I thought it was a fire truck or a cop coming around the corner. Was that you Bronc??

Pics on the facebook link

Coleman Safari Rack also

$75 at Costco.

Custom mounted to factory rails-eliminated the cross bars so I could fit in my garage with the lift. I hope to still add a 1" body lift and still fit in garage.

many many pictures click on Facebook link within my signature-you do not have to be a Facebook member to view YOTA FANATICS album of mine.

Rola, from Australia! the sticker fades though!

i paid 150??

The Baja Rack replaces the factory roof rack. Remove the end caps, slide the old cross bars out, slide mounting brackets in and then bolt basket to low profile mounts. I believe they are in the low $400 range.

What set-up do you have to mount the spare tire to the rear?

of course you have to do this to me right before Christmas!! I want a roof rack so bad! and I have not seen a Coleman Safari or a Yakima loadwarrior on Craiglist in weeks, I take that back, I found one that the listing went up and was pulled within hours...

Anybody know someone that wants to sell their rack?

There was a thread a couple years ago about the Coleman roof rack from Costco. It was a good price and it fits both the 3rd gen and 4th, so I picked one up before I bought my 4th gen. I have only used it twice. I like it because you can just throw suitcases and boxes in it and easily tie them up.

Thanks Liny. I didnt catch the question. I built the complete rear bumper and actually my swing away is the only thing I need/ want to change a little. I used 2x2 .25 wall and a better cross tube and what I am going to change over to is 2x3 .25 wall so it has more surface attached at the hinge. and will raise the spare a little higher so I can fit my hi-lift along the bottom of it.

The goofy kid is my oldest son being goofy. Had a kayak, two bikes, multiple bags, a lawn chair and another kayak to go on my rack while camping. I usually carry around my fishing poles and a shovel on my rack.
