Shrockworks bull without hoops!

ordered a shrockworks winchbumper and decided to try it without the hoops. I think it will look good with just lights on top (Lightforce 240's). I think the functionality of the bumper is awesome, I just didn't want tubes and bars all over the place. I have to say that the ones I've seen with the hoops are pretty sweet ...just want to try a more minimalist approach ....i'll post pics when it's in. I'd sure like to see more shots of this bumper (with or without) they said i can modify the order if i do it within the next few days. Do I sound like my mind isn't completely made up??!!:confused: :D :confused: :D

yeah, ....my wife thinks i have a problem ...don't understand why?:confused: :D ....this will have to be it for a while until .....maybe sliders? ...rear springs? ....huh oh, maybe I do have a problem! ....really i just want to get somewhere offroad dammit!!

Post up pics when it arrives and after the install. I'm considering going with the center hoop only, but would love to see the SW Bumper w/o hoops.

I was considering center only too. I'd really like to see more pics from guys that already have theirs installed ...c'mon!!:awais:

Nope...but the last picture is through an old dirty Isuzu Trooper windshield. But I bet you meant photoshop the bumper without tubes. :D

thanks man, I might take you up on it. You probably have some pointers on the install too. If we head out to Tyson's this weekend ...I guess that would work. Where were your pictures taken, ...looks like NOVA somewhere

I really like these bumpers alot, I like the shot with the 2 fj's, the 4R looks the meanest of the bunch!
 
I think it looks cleaner without the hoops. I have contacted them asking if they could fab it without the turn signal holes/lights and they said they couldnt. I will be ordering one without hoops and raw unpainted. Gonna fab up some of my own ideas on it and then have it rhino/linex'd. Think it will look better. But Im about a month or so away from ordering.

How much do you think that'll cost? ...that's an idea. I just got some JAOS challenger lights from another member and I think they'll look good on top, they're bigger than the PIAA 520's and I was a little worried about their center hoop. I've also contemplated a more "safari -ish" style hoop set up too, so bare steel might be a good option.
 
estimates that I have gotten have been from about 120 to 200. and I may do it myself, but not looking forward to it. I mostly want it raw so that I can weld to it and I think the linex is a more matte finish and is quite durable and easily repairable.

Also will be putting lights on top and will change my headlights to the 06 so that I can do the hid install and will have the turn signals integrated into the main light housings so I wont need signals in the bumper. Also, just dont like the hoops. In the end it will look similar to good times old bumper with the lights he has on his newer demello bumper.

I was thinking the exact same thing when I ordered mine ......it would be nice too if someone would tackle the rear bumper ..but I guess that is probably a whole other thread.
 
Bala & Crozhawk make sure you post up pics. I like the idea of the Shrockworks w/o hoops. I think it would be very subtle and still very effective. :bigok:
 
How about a compromise and just keep the center hoop? I think that would be a good tradeoff between full hoops and no hoops.
