Shrockworks Group Buy 2014?

Hi - I was thinking about giving myself a Shrockworks Front Bumper as a Christmas present this year and I was wondering if others wanted to go in on a group buy? I know that has happened in the past (and I apologize if there is already a thread for this timeline - I didn't see one when I searched for it). If you are interested let me know.

Thanks, I know they had one a little while ago. I know there is also about a 4 month wait, I meant to imply that I would purchase it around Christmas time and then pick it up in the spring.
 
I was hoping for for someone to bring this up, but I was hoping more towards March/April/Tax Refund time. November and December are kind of rough, considering Christmas.

I am definitely in the market for a set of sliders, for my 2014, but I was thinking of the Randy Ellis Sliders.

Shockworks looks like some quality gear though. Anyone seen both up close and personal?

How many people do we need for a group buy and what is the discount?
I am buying one regardless so if we can get a few together then thats cool.

I think the factory bumper is made out of peeps.
I barely brushed the bank in a sandwash while turning around the other day and completely destroyed the corner of it. Insurance was actually going to cover a schrockworks bumper for replacement but the 4 month wait killed it. I figured that was karmas way of not having my insurance pay for my fancy bumper.

To get an idea of how to start a GB, take a look at the thread that sandcrawler posted earlier about the Summer 13 GB. If you have any questions about how to get started and make it successful, shoot me a PM.

You'll need to contact Mark at SW to get approval and discount info for the GB.
 
So looking at the other thread it looks like 10 orders will get 10% off and 20 orders or more will get 15% off. Obviously we need to clear it with them, but should we get a list of people that would be committed first?

The best thing to do is have someone as the pointman that can be the main contact with SW. I would contact SW with group buy specific questions that members had and then post the question and answer to benefit all. That helped cut down on repetitive calls going to SW about the GB.

To get started, seek approval from them and discuss what date they want the discount period to begin (You'll need to have an idea of when it could start.) Work out the details of the discount with them. Ours was 10% for 10 or more orders and 15% for 20+. Once that is all set, then post a GB thread to generate interest in the General Discussions section so that all generation T4R members will see it. Feel free to use any of the info in the Shrockworks Summer Group Buy 2013 thread to help you get started. Just make sure you work out the terms with Mark and Justin. Good luck.
 
Thanks for the opportunity guys, but I decided to go with the Randy Ellis Designs Sliders. They are top-hull, and the production time they quoted me was just a fraction of what I'd be looking at with shockworks.

I am wondering what it will look like under the running boards of my Canadian Trail Edition. If it's a mess under there I may be interested in a trim package.

I will have to wait and see. Where's the best place to sell my running boards? Is there a market for them?

How much are the Randy Ellis? Like the step ones they have on their site?

If someone sets up the GB I'm in. Getting them either way here pretty quick.

I got the sliders that were on the website with the steps (tubes) with shipping to WA State the total was $690. Randy Ellis wait time is currently a pretty reasonable 4 weeks. I will post pics when everything is done.

I am really wondering what is going to be under the running boards on the 2014 Trail, hopefully I won't need a rocker-trim package as well.

The colour is Magnetic Grey Metalic, I have heard that on the darker models you don't necessarily need the trim package, but anyhoo, that's a discussion for a seperate thread.

From what I can tell these just attach to the body. Interesting, they look nice. I'd really like to see them when you have them on.
