BTW, one tip tho, if you do not have patience and/or your priority is schedule instead of saving money..... you should place your order BEFORE this GB gets into the ordering phase...... (GBs are probably not for you....)

If you do want to save some money, and do have patience, then GBs are going to save you some money......

And, no, you can't have both......

Well you said ordering will start this week. And it is this week. So a little clarification was all I needed. That's like saying "Ordering starts Monday" on a Monday and expecting people to know that they can't order for a couple more weeks.

I am pretty sure that most others don't have an issue with it.

From a technical writing view point -

When you say "this week" you are not giving a clear designation in time other than "this week". There is a lot of week to this week and considering how vague the communication has been on the rest of this group buy it is understandable. The vast majority of other group buys have a set cut off date, a minimum number of orders posted for the GB to work and such. This one had none of that. Honestly I figured it was a hose job initially because it lacked so many details that make it worth while. I do not know how many of us have the extra $400 and up to leave locked up for months on end while you get this little group buy thing done.

So just incase I was not clear enough - the communication in this GB has been substandard in my opinion. I am glad it is happening; but since I am just getting a set of sliders it is not like I am saving a small mint or anything.

As a second thought - considering how many different types of classified threads have strict guidelines in order to be posted I am surprised there are not any guidelines for these GBs. Some of these posted with lots of info and some of these are very shady posted that seem more like we are buying stuff that is going out the back door of the warehouse. I understand I am new to this forum; but I have been around on forums since 2005 and been doing GBs for almost as long.

For people pissing and moaning about how the group buy is being ran you're free to not participate and buy on your own.

If you think you can do a better job then by all means start up your own thread and handle all the details and show us how it's done

I assumed that since jicko is running several other GBs simultaneously, he should be given the benefit of being extremely busy, in addition to his daily life. His statement was vague intentionally. Any effort to ask him to be more precise should be considered futile, given the history of communication on this thread. Just be patient and the rewards will be great. Or be impatient and buy it now. Nobody's preventing anyone from doing either.

Jicko knows what he is doing. Notice how we didn't even have a GB section before Jicko came around? The other forums I'm a part of don't have GB's because no one wants to run them. The other GB's here are impossible to even figure out what's going on and what is happening. The GB's take time to work out, and his are very well put together.

He has a system, the first posts is always updated, and has all the info you need. He hasn't screwed anyone on the forums and does everyone a favor by putting them together. Take notice he isn't even ordering anything in this GB for himself, he is literally doing this for the other members of the forum.

I am giving this warning so that I don't have to suddenly close the sign up and left some "borderline" members out in the cold. (and I am also working hard to try to keep the sign up open)

I recall you mentioned a lot of factors go into these GBs and that you were helping to line up the materials to get this thing done. And, Im sure Shrockworks has to approve when the ordering starts. These products aren't sitting on a shelf waiting to be shipped out. Ninety % of us have no idea what goes into these GBs, so please forgive the impatient ones.
You can give some people a hundred dollar bill and they would complain that it's wrinkled.

Guess my polite and constructive criticism is not welcome. People tend to not do well when their is as much vagueness as is common in the GBs. A little clearer and better communication is all I am saying - don't like it? Don't care.

Like I said in my post; I've done a few of these with bigger companies than SchrokWorks on forums before. You might want to get some knee pads if you are going to go that route.
