Shrockworks slider install question. Help!

Hi,

I'm installing (trying to) my Shrockworks sliders on my 2010 Trail. It is going pretty well but on the front passenger side there is no hole in the transmission crossmember and there is about a 1/4 inch gap between the slider mount and the crossmember. I can drill a hole in the crossmember but what about the gap? Do I shim it with washers or something? Anyone else run into this? Please see attached pictures.

Noooo .. don't shim the gap with washers. Try backing off a bit on the 2 bolts that hold the vertical part of the mount bracket to your frame rail; the holes in the bracket are large enough to accommodate some vertical adjustment. You may even need to back off a bit on the rear mount bracket bolts. Then install your first bolt into the angled part of the bracket that threads into the cross member. That should hopefully pull everything snug. Don't drill the "missing" hole until the entire bracket makes full contact on both the vertical and angled faces.

X2. Absolutely correct. When you tighten everything that angled bracket will close the gap. Mine was like that too when I installed my sliders.
