ShrockWorks Slider install question.

I think people are going to need more details...at the least, what sliders did you buy?

Check the post title... He mentions the sliders being from Shrockworks. To the OP, didn't they come with instructions, or did you buy them second hand?

Yes they are ShrockWorks sliders. I have not had a chance to check them out to see if there are instructions they were shipped to the shop where I have had some work done on my truck. I should be running by today to check them out so I will see. But I had read from post in other gen forums that they had weak instructions. So after having no luck here in searching I figured I would ask if anyone had experience with bolting them on. I was debating welding them but was curious if that makes any difference in the future if I decide to do a body lift.

I just got mine not too long ago. They are rather simple to bolt on. Here is how I did it:
1.Unpack the box, get your jack-stands out. And set them to the height that makes the sliders closed to the frame rail.
2. Remove your transfer cover. If doing the driver side first.
3. Lift the slider up till the bracket is flush with the under side of the frame and its vertical side. Use a sharpie to circle out the bolt holes.
4. Drill out the upper and base bolt holes with a uni-bit drill bit. Mine that i found went from 1/16th to 1/2" in size. ( I would def get this even though they are rather steep in price, you'll probably break alot of reg bits.)
* It may be best if your jack-stands dont come close the getting you sliders to sit flush, make sure you have you and a friend to help push the slider into place so that it sits flush.
5. Use the stick nuts and bolts provided and bolt those puppies up. This part takes patience, but can be done with some twisting of the bolt on the stick, so that once in the frame it sits flush on the inside frame. Use the near by holes in the frame to side the stick-nuts into the frame, and the rear passenger side you will need to use one hole to get two stick-nuts in.

Did you really have to drill 8 holes?
I just got mine and after looking everything over it appears that the rear plate on the driver side uses the threaded hole from the gas tank skid plate for the bottom of the frame connection.
If that is true, I guess I am only drilling 7 holes?
Can you guys help me out? Id be interested in any tips you can provide. I ordered that unibit and plan to do the install next weekend.
