Shrockworks sliders on 2014 TE?

I've searched the threads regarding installation of Shrockworks sliders on 5th gens, nut I haven't found anyone who's talked specifically about installing them on a 2014 TE.

Have any 2014 TE owners on here installed the Shrockworks sliders? If so, any feedback/problems/issues/troubleshooting advice? Or did you find that they install easily with no modification required?

I'm hopeful that mine will be shipping out soon and just wanted to know what to expect...

The frame rails that they mount to have not changed, so the physical attachment points are the same. However, the rocker panel treatment on the '14s has changed. The Shrockworks sliders bolt straight on to the '10-'13 TE with no modification needed. On the SR5 and LE the rocker panel cover must be removed, cut or traded out for TE rockers. The same mods may be needed for the '14 SR5 and LE.
 
No modifications are required to the rocker trim area on the 2014 Trail or SR5 models. Limited models only.

As for frame attachment points, your good to go. I installed a set a couple weeks back myself on a Limited model without a hitch. The trail model is a much more simple install due to less clutter on the frame rails. Some of the access holes used for stick nut access have been removed, but there are other holes available for use.
 
Make sure you do this on an empty gas tank. It was a bit frustrating pulling out the bolt that holds the gas tank strap and watching it slide between the tank and the skid. It wasn't a fun day.

Using the stick nuts is another issue. The rear passenger side is by far the hardest since there is only one hole behind the frame to attach. Passenger side front, I also had to drill an extra hole. Driver's side was definitely a lot easier for me.
 
Once my nephew pointed out the plastic frame access plugs all along the side of the frame the installation went smoothly. There is a round one on each side about 2 - 3" in front of the rear bracket. On mine all the holes were there but only the fronts had threaded inserts. I had to use the blind nuts on all 6 rear holes. I still need to drill one 3/8" hole for the front angled bracket on the driver's side. About 90 minutes to install. And yes the gas tank strap was the most "interesting" part to do. I had read this before so I ran my tank down to the light coming on (about 3 gallons) before I did the work. That definitely helped.

is it possible to get a pic with your foot on the slider? so I can get an idea how much space you gain from this compared to the OEM running boards?

granted this is an LE with the rocker still attached. I know if I get these sliders I would have to remove the rockers which should free up some space/gap to get a better toe hold on the sliders. the OEM setup sucks but needed them to protect the lower doors during winter.

Sorry about the quality. Bright sun directly overhead and OMG White paint do not mix well. I tried to take this looking down the door and including the handle. I wear a size 11 shoe and I can get the ball of my foot on the outer bar with the door closed. Probably more with it open. I don't normally use the steps, even on the Nfabs it used to have. They are there for wife's use. They do extend out wide enough I drag my inner calf muscle on them getting in and out. I hope it's clear enough to be helpful.

They work awesome. the step is the way to go! Finished them up last night. Ordered 2/10/14 and received 6/5/14. The lowest part of the slider is even with the bottom of the frame rail.

Just ordered mine. CAN NOT WAIT!! The next three to four months are going to tough to wait out :frisky:
 
Those pictures are very helpful - thanks! My sliders just shipped yesterday, and they'll be here by next Thursday. I'm hoping this install goes smoothly, and Mr. Murphy doesn't show his ugly face!:doh:
 
Shrockworks Textured Powder Coat

If anyone has purchased the shrockworks sliders with dimpled tread plates and textured powder coat, I'd love to see a picture. Thanks!
