So the passenger slider went on OK, but here are the issues with teh front brackets. It seems like the bracket winds up going like | frame / so the bolt goes up and nto the body and is very hard to align. Th problem is aligning the bracket by standing on it like the directions say, or, I used a brake pad spreader and some spacers, when that wasnt working well i used one of those clamp/spreader guys and spread the bracket. Again, problem is the botl hits the body and is hard to align. FInal solution was to jack up the front leg of the slider from all the way under the corner that was furthest inward. This gave me enough room to get the nut threaded and compress the bracket. Then I get a 12. ratchet wrench stuck in there (i'm a dumbass) between the body and the bracket and on the stud of the bolt. :doh:
SO now, what I have to do is go back and take that bolt out, pray the bracket doesn't shift, and add the washers on the end because the study is contacting the body and wont tighten down any more. and I want a lock washer on there for piece of mind. I'm also getting some slight vibrations at lower speeds post install, I think that front bolt really needs to be tightened down.
The gas tank bolt is literally impossible. The only was I was able to do it way by sticking the bolt head through and the nut on the back by the tank. There was no way to get the bolt behind the gas tank and slip it in.
Also, the fuel and brake lines are a huge pain. I broke a bunch of clips to get them out of the way. Also, the XREAS lines are clipped in literally all of the exact spots where the slider brackets go, so I had to break those with a pry bar to get the slider behind.
Overall, the mounting style is very difficult to work with, but I feel as though it is definitely strong. The welds on these were perfect and they seem to be well constructed. I wish that I had gotten them powdercoated and painted over the PC. There was some oil on them that was a real PITA to remove, the instructions say to use acetone and even then it was difficult and Im sure i missed a few spots. Doesnt really matter since I need to repaint them anyway since the movement from installation ripped off a ton of paint. Anyway, I hope that helps someone else.
