side air bags a problem offroad?

On a different part of the site, someone said to be wary of side airbags offroad. They may trigger when the 4runner leans to one side, even if well short of a rollover. I could see how this might happen. Have others found this to be an issue to be concerned with?

It's not an issue because that's what the RSCA OFF button on the dash (left of steering wheel with diff and 12v switch) is for. Press it and it shuts the roll sensing curtain airbags off.

I have done thousands of miles off road in mine and have never had an issue. If I remember I turn off the RSCA, but most of the time I do not even bother.

Same here.

Thing is, as you know, it stays off after you've restarted the engine. Early on, I was fairly good about it and then would periodically find I'd logged a bunch of miles without it because I had turned the ignition off. After that happens a couple of hundred times, it's starts to become a yawner.
