Check the FSM for the instructions(see my sig)...Also, IIRC there is a tread that someone did the same thing--not sure if there are instructions. Found it...see below

The link is to the thread I created for the FSM-factory service manual. Read through the thread and you will understand more. You need to download it and in there is the instructions for the mirrors.

OK after spending some time searching in the FSM, the disassembly/assembly for the foot(puddle) light is not available. Sorry. It's a good thing to have though. Try to follow the other thread I posted and post pics if you actually do this.
I have recently changed out on my 2010 4Runner the interior lights for white LED's and wanted to changed out the side mirror outer foot lights also does anybody know how to disasemble the outside mirror so I could change out the bulbs.

Did you do the entire interior? If so what bulbs did you use? Do you have a list of bulbs you could provide, or even better some night time shots? I did this with my 4th gen and it was a 100% improvment. Did you change the bulds to LEDS on the rear hatch for the rear cargo area and if so is there a noticable difference? Sorry bout all the questions but you may be the first to do the interior with leds.

I also did the dome light over the back seat, and the dome lights over the cockpit. Doing these made a great difference, and looks very cool.
interior LED Lighting
I bought the interior kit from CARHIDKITS.com it brought all the LEDs for the inside except for the lights on the visor and the two under the dash where you feet go they come in three or four colors I chose the white LED which Look Great!!! makes a big difference all i need to do now is change out the foot lamp bulb to white LED by the way they through in those two LED when I called in the order! They are price a little higher on the website but if you go on there ebay link there are a little cheaper so if you do call tell them you saw it on there ebay link and give the the ebay item number and you will get the same price!

gx 460 has exactly same lights! I used 194 leds from vleds if anyone interested.

Carhidkits charges about 3 times what those lights are worth. I suggest you find another vendor.
