so i figured since everyone else here has one i should start my own as well to see how far this build has come. maybe ill surprise myself. my build was based on having a capable vehicle on road and for a bit of off road fun as well. i do dabble in the JDM parts bin quite a bit but for me it is all about my pleases myself visually and fuctionally.

so i bought it back in oct 14 2008

heres how she looked. ome coils in front 881 with top plate spacer and tokicos front stock in the rear. the next morning i had already put the clear corners on.

that same week i already started modding. put on the wheels off my 04 taco.

then a few new parts, nerf bars and some mud...

Retrofit, new hella fogs with 3000k hids

hid vs. halogen

new brakes, ss lines, vanity plate and Jaos spoiler.

basket, bfg a/t's new retrofit and a few more parts.

I've been wanting to get the jaos spoiler. Curious about where you got yours and how much you paid for it?

i got the jaos wing directly from Jaos USA its been a while i think i paid $180 for it.

I have been waiting to see your build thread for a while! Such a unique rig.

School me on your current headlight specs.

THe head lights are oem units black bowl and the edge of the light is painted gunmetal. the shroud is gunmetal as well to add contrast to the black bowl. projectors are fx-45's bulbs i use philips 4300k bulbs.


thanks guys it means alot all my builds always tend to be on the unique side of things. i love doing things not everyone will think of doing to there trucks.

Your projectors are one of the best I have seen, hopefully we can still work on trying to do mine.

new tires and some more Jaos accessories from japan.

so a Good freind of mine Hajime from Roadhouse Japan sent me a pair of Jaos Headrest pillows for my 4runner. i have to say im pretty extatic about them and put them on right away. These are some parts that i can say the wife was not upset about me getting as she likes the use of them.

and the new Tires 285/75/16 Falkens. which i might be switching out again as i am having bad luck with tires.

hey Brandon after 4 tries at balancing them they said my new tires are bad, the service guy said they are out of round and wont balance correctly. i am leaning towards going back to the bfg's unless someone says else wise.

I would drop Falken an email and pose the problem to them. I've never had any problems like that on any of there tires and we have them on 4 out of 5 cars in the house. They usually are pretty quick to respond to a potential problem like this. For instance when Jamie was venting on twitter about her tires being worn out they responded right away wanting to know if the tires wore out premature, and the usual alignment questions etc.

Oh I found your problem! lol

I won't lump all of the discount/americas tire employees into one category, but these are the same guys that threw away my hub centric rings, and clamped my PIAA wheels from the inside leaving teeth marks in them. They took care of the damage financially, but that is the last time I let them mount anything for me. I would stop by another store and try to have them balanced.
