Silver 4 runner on Fj 17" wheels, daystar kit

Got my 4 runner early last year, i always like the 4th gen 4 runner..since back in my college days but back then i was more into fast cars and modding /had my fair share on modding cars and it was always lowering them..not the other way around..
last car was a isf(sold it since it was hard to get 2 little kids in there)and been lurking around here and reading getting ideas to add to my 4runner ..some pretty nice 4 runners here.

I just put on some new wheels/tires on my 2003 4 runner, from a Fj- the wheels and tires were brand new maybe 10 miles on them..
This is primarily my DD..never see any off-roading


I was thinking of changing out suspension, i am at 103k- took at Toyota i had them inspected everything and got it fully serviced..they told me besides an axle everything/suspension looks good should go for at least 60-80k more(i put an new axle on the driver side).

So i put the daystar kit front and back on the xreas.(i wanted to raise this a bit i used to hate that every suv or even some crvs/highlander would look higher to me from inside on the 4 runner ..i also have a LX570 and switching to 4 runner made me feel i am driving a lifted Car..

other mods -I put in a JVC nav in there, replaced all the bulbs with LEDs/HIDs and rear tail lights from the newer 4runner. I am thinking of adding a bull bar/roof basket and a step hitch.

Looks great. Which daystar kit is this and what size tires are those? I'm doing the daystar 2.5/1.5 kit over the summer and want to keep stock tires (30.6") and don't want it to look wimpy

Thank you! the tires are oem for Fj 2012 265/70R17 Dunlop Grandtrek AT20, they ride quieter then the Michelin i had them before.
Daystar was -Daystar Comfort Ride Lift Kit - KT09115BK which is 2-1/2" in the front and
1-1/2" in the rear

Awesome that's what i intend on doing. DId it hurt your mileage when you did the lift but kept stock tires?

I am still getting the same mpg right now as i was getting before only difference I feel I have to little careful turning fast around corners..but I feel the little lift should have been factory

This is what I think too. The stock tires don't look wimpy, right?

Looks good! I'd suggest getting friendly with some Plasti Dip. Those FJ Rims look immaculate in black. And with the PD you can always take it off if you aren't a fan.

Love the Trail edition rims. Just installed the DS lift myself and couldn't be happier.

This is what I think too. The stock tires don't look wimpy, right?

No the stocks look fine. Upgrade to a 265/70 when you get new tires. Also wheel spacers help.

That wont be for a while, I'm running the 265/65's now but we'll see, i may try to pawn them off on my dad for his t4. I wanted to avoid getting spacers, my turning radius sucks as is, I think my steering knuckle may be a bit f'ed up and i;ve heard they kill your turning radius too.
