Silver Skid plate

Hey guys...I am looking for one of the silver skid plates with holes in the front that comes up to the front bumper. I think they were Part# 212-89070 but when I google it no one has them in stock?. Anyone know where I might could still get one. I just like the looks of it on the 4Runners when I see one with it. Thanks

They've been discontinued for a long time. IIRC, they are thin aluminum and are more aesthetic than function.

You're best bet will be on the used market. Or throw a friendly post-it on a local T4R you see around town with an offer.

I know you said you wanted it for looks, but I found something interesting about that area on the 120 platform.

Between the bumper and the engine skid on the 4runner is empty.
On the GX470 there's a black plastic filler plate, maybe there for aerodynamics. It looks like it *should* bolt up to the 4runner.

...unless my 4runner was just missing the plastic filler plate...

Very easy to do if you follow the link. Only cosmetic as this does not protect against anything.

I got excited for a moment that I could make this work for my 09 but the tow hooks are angled down on mine. Not sure if that was a change in the 06s and up or whatnot.
