Simple Lift Ideas

HEY! new to the 4runner forum, recently bought my "Sasha" after trading in my RSX. Last RSX forum was basically filled with haters who wanted to gloat on their intelligence and how their inline 4 was so amazing. Hopefully this forum is filled with helpful ideas.

Anywho, I have everything stock on her, she has 111k miles and runs like new, I know that adding tires and small things like that can lift the 4runner, but i was wondering if anyone knew of shocks/spring kits that can lift 1"+.
I'm not wanting anything to be crazy where i will have to install the lift AND then do a crap ton of other things just so i can drive.

Looking for kits or just a place to buy parts to do simple ride height upgrades.

P.S. Body kits are all out cause i saw how difficult/time consuming those are.

ome kits are great off the shelf options from companies like toytec, or you can piece together a lift like im doing right now consisting of lc front coils for the rear along with stock rear lc shocks and possible trd tundra coilovers for the front. (thats similar to what the ss 1.2 kit is but is not as convienent as they make it, they use all new parts and they have specially valved bilsteins)

99 tall coils will give you an extra inch. Try a search on them and you can see the difference. It's a simple lift and you don't need to modify anything, but I guarantee this site will have you wanting a higher lift real quick.

dont dismiss body lifts on a 4runner, they are super easy

sounds like you want the highlander lift that will give you 1" lift, if you add some 265/75/16's to it, you can get another 1/4 to 1/2 inch

welcome to the forum! I think you will find there are alot of cool 4runner owners, not a bunch of pretentious, honda/acura owners. Im a prelude fan/owner, so I know! :biggrin2:

sounds like you probably would be best suited with stock suspension from a 99. That is probably what I will end up doing.

and how easy was that body lift to install?
i'm good with vehicles i'm just wondering if it would be an easy weekend job.

I have bought '99 tall coils which i have yet to install. mine is only 2wd but i was looking for a slight lift with a stock ride. i have been reading on the sonoran site that the 3.0 kit for 2wd includes a "Rear Fix." Does anybody know what that is and is that required to install these coils on my runner. I hope not cause I have no clue what it is. Anybody???
