Simple Storage Solution - None

Not sure where I'd fit in one of those heavy and space robbing storage systems. They look cool and I'd like to have one, but we just pack too much stuff.

Look closely and there are bags on the roof rack too!

This is the return of a 10 day trip staying in an AirBnB. So I just had to get the stuff there/back and could take trips out from there. Dogs are in 2nd row and the Fridge can breath.

Might make some of the OCD people on here twitch ;-)

I understand what you are going through. I spend two weeks every summer at the family mountain cabin in Colorado so I have the same problem. My solution is an utility trailer mostly meant to haul ATVs or UTVs. Get a good quality one with big tires, not the small ones with 10" wheels. I can also fit my 4-wheeler on and pack soft things such a sleeping bags under the ATV. No problem towing for, the 4Runner has a 5000 lb tow rating and the factory receiver and plug in trailer wiring.

Take more trips, and figure out what you don't use, shed it. For a 12 day hotel/ AirBnb road trip we packed 2 backpacks for our respective laptops and to repurpose as daypacks while hiking, a 90L duffel, a box of roadtrip snacks, and of course the fridge (it lives in the truck all the time). Those are the easiest of trips to pack for.

Whether it's 10 days or 3 days of camping/wheeling, we usually always pack the 90L duffel for our clothes, and everything else fits with plenty of room to see out of the back (what's in the cargo area is raised 10" due to my storage box) and can make the 40 of the rear seat available if necessary. Only things on the roof are a roll up table and the tent
