Sirius questions

I am looking at getting Sirius for my truck and I am trying to decide between the clean look of the OEM box that integrates with my OEM navigation system, or a more portable option such as the Stiletto 100 with the car kit that uses an FM transmitter.

I personally prefer a more clean look which is why I am leaning towards the OEM option, but the costs I have seen are a bit prohibitive which makes the portable option appealing. I wanted to get several opinions before I pull the trigger.

Thanks.

That depends...

Would you ever use the Sirius receiver in any other place?
Another vehicle?
In a boom box?
At home?

I bought the portable receiver just because of the Replay/record feature. I then got the "boombox" for a gift the following year and I didn't think I'd use it but I do - it has a 15' wire attached to the antennae so that you can put the box anywhere in the room and run the antennae wire to the window to pick up the satellites. I also bought another car docking kit for my summer ride, 98 Jeep, so I can just drop the receiver in there when I want to. And if/when I rent a car on a vacation or trip, I can just take out the docking station from the Jeep and put it in the rental car for my trip.

So you KNOW what I would do if I were you, or you were me, or whatever..... but it's your call. If the hidden OEM look is that important to you and you'll never use the receiver anywhere else, then go for it.

Cheers.
