Sirius Text on Urban Runner

Great site, it has been very informative for me as I just got an Urban last week and nobody at the dealership knows much of anything. I got them to add sirius instead of xm, the sound is great but there is no display (artist name, station name, etc.). Any body have any advice or tips for this?

If you had the "Dealer" add the Sirius, let them worry about it and tell them to do their job and get it to work...

Sorry to sound soo pissed, but if you read around, all us URunner owners have tons of ??? around this issue...

Probably a stupid question but are you on the info screen rather than the map screen? I plan on adding Sirius to the unit soon as I have been a subscriber for 6-7 years now and find it hard to drive without it. I know CDs show the info so I don't see why the Sat unit wouldn't, unless they fugged up the install.

no it is set on the audio screen, the installer admitted it was the first he had done on the UR, it even still displays xm on the "source", there has got to be someone who knows how to fix this. Evrything thing else about the UR is great, get one!

so on the display do you have channels listed like 1-6 and a plus sign? if so hit that plus sign and it moves the channels off the screen and puts text. my iPod reads as XM and thats what i had to do. and it will only display the first like 10-15 letters. use the text button too to toggle

lefty, that did not work. The company that made the box is Vais, I have even called them to see if they know a solution, but they are also clueless about the tom tom.

bummer....yeah sorry then. was hopin that would be the fix for it. good luck on that. seeems like this tomtom unit is a headache for some people.
