Site login timesout waaaaayy too quickly

Am I imagining things or does this site automagically log you out after something like 10 minutes of no activity ? I sit here and browse around in my spare minutes and come back to post a new message and I have to re-login ? That's a real PITA !!

The vBulletin's session timeout should be set to something like 30-60 minutes. I know, I run a non-related site that also has message boards and had users with the above complaint. As soon as I increased the session timeout value to 60 minutes, those complaints went away

I let my cookies keep me logged on. Never have to sign in, never get logged out. I assume you have a reason that you don't do this.

I don't have that problem either. Do you have the option "Automatically login when you return to the site? (uses cookies)" enabled under the user cp? That should solve your problem unless you don't want to use cookies.

When you are inactive for a period of time, it logs you off automatically. I thought the same way as you but when I checked on another computer, it didn't show me as logged on.

The problem with the setup here, is that it logs me out even after I've been actively browsing for the last 20-30 minutes.

e.g., I tried posting a message a few minutes ago after browsing around for 1/2 hour. Had to log BACK in to do that. Came to this thread a few minutes later and had to RE-LOGIN to post THIS message. Frustrating. Never had this problem with other VBulletin-based sites. Yes, cookies are enabled.
