Skid Plate Bolts?

Hey peeps. So I did my first oil change by myself and it went really smooth. In the process I noticed that my bolts for the skid plate were beat and some of the threads were messed up so I am looking to replace them.

I pulled the front skid plate off, there are 3 bolts on the front and 3 on the back.

I found some Everblit M8-1.25 x 25 mm Zinc-Plated Steel Flange Bolts at my local Home Depot. Would these work for both the front bolts and the back of the skid plate? I can’t seem to get a straight answer.

They will work, but get good quality so that they don’t rust or round off again soon. And run a tap thru the holes, to clean up the threads

Yeah M8x1.25. The part number for the Toyota bolt is 90080-11373, if you want to go that route.

For future reference they should have thread gauges in the fastener section at home depot. Take your Toyota bolts up there and see what they are, then get whatever you need.

You've got the size right, but get stainless. The zinc-coated bolts will be trash in a few years. I replaced all mine with Stainless hardware a few years ago, and it looks brand new after all the beach runs. I can't say the same for the skidplate itself.

I’ve got a dozen coming tomorrow from Conicelli Toyota @ 1.17 a piece.
Dropped my skid plates the other day to gain some access while I replace radiator, thermostat, hoses and add B&M cooler so figured good time to replace some almost 20 year old rusty hardware.
Downside of living in the northeast!
