Skid plate installation

I bought a skid plate for my 04 4x4 SE 4Runner. The installation came with it so confussing. I am totally lost on how to install it. Do I have to take the factory skid plate (black color) out then install the new one in and then install the factory back on?

Did any one install the accessory skid plate yet? Do you have pictures of the installation? For the bracket, the instruction said Left and Right. Is it left facing the SUV or left my back facing the SUV.

Your help greatly appreciated.

Who makes it? More then likley the OEM one comes off before you insatll the new one. Where else would the new bolts go through unless they called for drilling out the OEM and putting them there but very unlikley. If they said left then consider it on the driver side, unless the part was like the OME stuff which said driver side and was actually there right our left.

It is the "silver" color that I ordered from Toyota part dept.

Can I see the picture of the bottom where the skid plate install, please?

Thanks so much Atomic. That was exactly what I needed. I will install mine over the weekend so I can finally take some pics of my T4R.
