Skid plate question

I have a 2003 SR5 V6 4Runner and was interested in getting the Toyota skid place just for looks (I know it wont do squad off-road).

I looked into it (part PT212-89070) and everywhere I go it states the plate is for 2006-2009 4Runners. Will that skid plate bolt up to my 2003 without modification? And if it does need to be modified, what's involved? Thanks in advance!

Toyotaparts website has them, but if you ask me those flimsy things look like cheap add-on that it is.

Neither could I. Cheapest I found was ~$70. I was wanting to make one, and may still, just haven't due to cost and too many other things going on.

35 bux is cost of 6061 T-6 aluminum sheet cut to size,u have to shop around for a cheap iron works place or try online, bolts may be xtra, u do the labor yourself. prices may have gone up since i bought it tho. it may not be as fancy , but it works. this pic is before paint. this place charges around 40 or use to. the 3003 grade aliuminum is less.
